Attire

Each dance class at CDC has a specific dress code. A dress code in a dance class ensures that all students are dressed appropriately and safely for movement, preventing injuries and facilitating effective instruction. It also promotes a sense of unity and equality among the students, reducing distractions related to personal clothing choices. Additionally, a consistent dress code helps establish discipline and focus, creating an environment conducive to learning and growth in dance.

Please see the dress code below for your dancer's class and ensure your dancer is properly prepared for class each week. If your dancer is in a combo class (such as jazz/tap, ballet tap, etc), they are required to have shoes appropriate for EACH style of dance (For specific shoe models, see below the class descriptions and dress code per class for recommendations and links):

Parents may purchase their dance shoes whenever they prefer, provided they are the required style. Some options and links are provided below for your convenience. For ballet, jazz, and tap shoes, we recommend you take your dancer to a dance store to be properly fitted as some brands run smaller than others, and to ensure you are selecting the best skin tone for your dancer.
