Summer Camps
Summer dance camps are the perfect opportunity for young dancers to improve their skills, make new friends and have fun in a creative environment while on summer break from school. We offer a variety of themes to entice both boys and girls to develop an interest in dance. Focused on jazz and hip hop, our camps appeal to a wide range of interests and dance ability. Each morning, dancers participate in a focused “theme-based” camp where music and dance routines are geared towards the theme of the week. For campers needing additional care, pre-care and afternoon camp are offered to support working parents who want to provide their children with a dance experience.
Dancers ages 2-5 years old participate in a 3-day morning camp. Each day, campers transform into a different princess and dance at the ball ‘til their hearts content. They have tea parties with butterfly sandwiches, do crafts fit for a princess, and top it off with a regal performance for all the land to see!
Ballet
Dancers learn basic classical ballet positions, movements, and terminology, all while improving their posture, balance, and flexibility. Our experienced instructors create a positive and supportive environment, encouraging children to express themselves through movement and develop a love for dance.
Jazz
Dancers focus on the fundamentals of jazz technique while also experiencing creativity and self-expression. Our experienced instructors lead fun and engaging classes that incorporate upbeat music & age-appropriate choreography. Children will learn coordination, rhythm, and musicality while building confidence and social skills. Whether your child is a beginner or has previous dance experience, our jazz dance class is the perfect way to introduce them to the world of dance.
Tap
Students learn basic tap steps and techniques, as well as how to put them together to create a dance routine. Focus is on rhythm and musicality. The class is designed to be engaging and interactive, with plenty of opportunities for students to practice their skills. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience with tap dancing, this class is a great way to develop their creativity, coordination, and confidence.
Acro
Students learn a variety of skills such as tumbling, balancing, and partnering techniques. Our experienced instructors guide students through a safe and fun learning environment, using the Acrobatic Arts leveled progression program which builds strength and flexibilit neded prior to learning advanced tricks. Acro movements are practiced equally on the right side and left side for body symmetry.
Hip Hop
Children are introduced to the dynamic world of hip hop through fun, age-appropriate routines and moves. The class combines high-energy dance steps with creative expression, encouraging children to develop their rhythm, coordination, and confidence. With a focus on positive reinforcement and teamwork, young dancers learn the fundamentals of hip hop while exploring their own unique styles. This vibrant, energetic class fosters a supportive environment where children can groove to upbeat music, improve their physical fitness, and unleash their creativity in a playful and engaging way.
Jazz/Pom
Jazz/Pom blends the energetic rhythms of jazz with the precision and spirited flair of pom dance techniques. Characterized by its syncopated rhythms, isolations, and stylized movements, this class challenges dancers to embody both grace and strength while emphasizing team synchronization with pom poms. Dancers focus on sharp, synchronized arm movements, formations, and high-energy routines.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a beautiful and expressive art form that combines elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. Dancers learn to move with grace and fluidity, while also developing their strength, flexibility, and musicality. Our experienced instructors create a supportive and nurturing environment where children can explore their creativity and develop their skills at their own pace. Through the joy of dance, childrem gain confidence, self-expression, and a love for the art form.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a form of expressive movement that combines elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance. In a contemporary class, students learn to move their bodies new and innovative ways, exploring the full range of motion and pushing the boundaries of traditional dance techniques. Classes typically begin with a warm-up, followed by a series of exercises and choreography, culminating with improvisation, that challenges dancers to think creatively and express themselves through movement.
Pointe
A pointe class is a ballet class that focuses on developing strength and technique to dance on the tips of the toes using pointe shoes. The class typically focuses on barre work, followed by center floor and across-the-floor exercises. Pointe work requires a great deal of strength, balance, and technique, so the class is designed for our most advanced, experiencee ballet dancers.
