DIRECTORS

Although the facilities are certainly impressive, it is the staff and programming that set Creative Dance Center apart. From the beginning, CDC hired teachers who specialize in each dance style and are placed in classes with the age range and level they are most able to teach effectively. Teachers have stayed at Creative Dance Center for many years because they enjoy the teaching environment.

Creative Dance for Children President & Founder

Having earned her BS in Elementary Education from George Mason University, Ramona's approach has always been to offer a developmentally sound program to children of all ages.  Ramona and her staff wrote the curriculum for Creative Dance for Children, a program offering dance and movement classes to ages two through five in preschools nationwide.  Having taught movement to young boys and girls for over 25 years, she is still moved by the impact the creative process can have on their lives.

Ramona finds strength in the excellent staff, devoted volunteers, and enthusiastic dancers involved in all of the CDC programs.  Masters coursework at Marymount University in Organizational Leadership and Innovation have been instrumental in helping her balance the business management side of program development.

Miss Vivian has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been involved in many aspects of dance, choreography, theater, and acting over the years. Although she has a degree in Engineering and worked in International Sales, she was meant to be a performer: winning the title of Miss Lehigh Valley (a Miss America preliminary pageant), cheerleading for the Buffalo Bills NFL football team, and traveling the West Coast in a two-woman show called “Tap with Me”. She has been teaching at CDC since 2004, bringing her love of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theater and Zumba to students young and old. She remains an active member of The Sterling Playmakers community theater group and The Actor’s Center of Washington DC. She loves to see Broadway shows and enjoys continuing her dance training by attending conventions and teacher classes whenever she can. Miss Vivian brings her organizational skills and positive energy to the Ashburn Studio.
