Susan Cox Susan studied ballet extensively at various institutions including the School of American Ballet in New York (home of the NY City Ballet). She was a DC City Ballet company member, and earned various dance scholarships.
She earned college credits in dance & academics from Dickinson PA, Mercyhurst College PA, and George Mason University. She earned her Associates from NVCC.
Susan has many years of competitive ballroom experience and has made television appearances for dance, (most recently on the Fox Morning News with Holly Morris 2006.) Susan is certified with the U.S. Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Susan is a professor of ballroom dance at The Northern Virginia Community College, Loudoun Campus. She is a member of the American Dance Montage, a small performance group under the direction of Frank Regan (the stylistic choreographer for the Miami City Ballet and a former ballroom and Latin dance Champion).
She has been with CDC since 1999. She enjoys teaching at CDC and was Assistant Director for the "Nutcracker, All Jazzed Up!" in 2006. She is currently teaching all ages at CDC, including ballet, ballroom, and creative movement. Her daughter, Stephanie, is happy to be a member of the CDC Competition Team.
